Through prayer and faith, Norma and I find ourselves coming full circle with the missions passion of our youth. God has been faithful to walk alongside us in this 50+ years journey and at times, even picked us up and carried us when we fell.In 2012, we teamed up with Partners in Christ, International. The most recent project was coordinating and serving in a medical clinic that serviced 800 people in Pochocuape and Guadalupe / La Chureca.
Beginning June 3, we began a five-month project with PICI in Managua in combination with our Global Missions team at Ginger Creek.
- Planning long and short-range strategy for our GC Global Mission Team
- Building bridges with our partners in Nicaragua
- Working with Jorge and Monica in whatever capacity needed in Pochacuape
- Collaborating with the Ezra Team of Nicaraguan pastors and professionals and the many international missions agencies at The Nehemiah Center on ways to support reformation and restoration in Nicaragua based on biblical world view. (www.NehemiahCenter.net)
- Establishing an office and partnerships in the Nehemiah Center with Kerrie Kuntz, another Ginger Creek/ PICI partner
- Traveling to Costa Rica to gather information from SEAN (Seminario por Extension A las Naciones) which is a company that writes and prints literature for theological education by extension in Latin American Spanish. Hopefully, we will be able to get materials into the Nicaragua office at affordable prices.
- Teaching English in the New Jerusalem Bible Institute and the Fe y Esperanza II elementary school at Maria's church
- Teaching and training participating Nicaraguan church leaders in biblical worldview at the New Jerusalem Bible Institute of Managua, challenging them to...
- Understand how BWV is God’s plan to reconcile them to Himself and to grow them in their faith so that it permeates every aspect of life.
- See that God’s plan allows Him to heal and reconcile brokenness -- broken lives, marriages, families, jobs, church, community and country.
- Identify the assets they’ve already been given by God and learn how to apply that knowledge to effect change spiritually and practically.
We are grateful that Ginger Creek has faithfully supported us in prayer and that we have the blessing of the Elders to serve in Nicaragua.
